The turning point

I have always wanted to be fit since my teenage years. I started my journey at the age of 23. It was always on and off. When I got married to my late husband and moved to Dubai, it was the turning point of my life. He supported my passion to make my fitness my profession. I completed many fitness courses. But after a few months of moving to the city, I got news of his death. It was a very traumatic phase in my life. But I chose to not give up. I kept working on my goal and today fitness has become my profession, following which I have helped transform thousands of people throughout the world. I have successfully created my own fitness transformation website www.komalfit.com and reached out to many people through my social media (komal_fit).

Fitness secrets I unveiled

Do not set unrealistic goals in the beginning, don’t go for quick results. Go for sustainability and be consistent. Take it as a lifestyle change for good and for your entire life.

How do I stay motivated?: I take it as my daily routine. You don't need motivation to follow your daily routine like brushing your teeth, taking a shower, having breakfast etc. Similarly, doing workout and eating healthy is my daily routine.

How do you ensure you don’t lose focus?: I watch my progress in the mirror and speak to myself that it took years to get here. Don’t ever give up on your hard work. You have to go a long way.

6/7

What’s the most difficult part of being overweight?

I always wanted to look fabulous no matter what I wear but when I was overweight. My clothes did not fit well with bulges coming out and asymmetric proportions. I was disappointed. I wanted to lose extra fat and I did it. I transformed myself and many other women too.

What was the lowest point for you? When my husband died it was the biggest challenge for me. Being in a small town and doing something in Fitness i faced so many hurdles from society . But I never care about it. Now I am successfully running my fitness website. And helping many people from worldwide to get them into shape.

What shape do you see yourself 10 years down the line?: The same shape I am in currently. I am happy with where I have reached and plan to hold on to it .

7/7

What are the lifestyle changes you made?

No alcohol, no toxic substances, only healthy food, 8 hrs of sleep and learn to plan your meals ahead of time.

Lessons learnt from weight loss: You look more younger than ever !
