Myths about healthy sex

MYTHS ABOUT HEALTHY SEX: It is easy to believe that good sex is the one that climaxes with an orgasm. But the truth is you and your partner don’t really have to experience Earth-shattering orgasms to have a healthy sex life.

Even if you are not having it frequently and your sessions are not mind-blowing, it doesn't mean you don’t have a healthy sex life.

Here we bust four such myths that stop you from believing that you have a good and healthy sex life.

2/5

It must be spontaneous

IT MUST BE SPONTANEOUS: In this modern life where we want to schedule everything possible, sex is no different. If you are scheduling it, it shows your commitment towards it. Furthermore, sometimes spontaneous sessions can even lead to a long dry spell. Fixing a time where you can do it without exhaustion and without any worry about your daily responsibilities can prove fruitful, just like the first date which you anticipated eagerly.

3/5

The best sex is slow and long

THE BEST SEX IS SLOW AND LONG: Waiting for the right moment sometimes may delay it to your vacation. Solution to this is, start embracing quickies. Sex can serve as a snack, can be finished quickly and can boost your energy and put you back in mood.

To make this more exciting, come out of your bedroom, and try new places at home.

4/5

You both are supposed to be in a mood

YOU BOTH ARE SUPPOSED TO BE IN A MOOD: According to data, 15 per cent of the times both the partners together are not in a mood to have sex, and it’s completely okay. The reasons behind it can be many and valid too. However, it is okay to sometimes give in to your partner's demand and also okay to not. Fret not, this does not make your sex life unhealthy. Having said that, if you both are never in a mood, you must see a therapist.

5/5

Having sex three times in a week

HAVING SEX THREE TIMES IN A WEEK: Most happy couples don’t get caught up in the frequency game. Though having it frequently does nourish your relationship, but at the end what matters is your satisfaction with the frequency you follow.

And remember there is more to a healthy sex life than just sex – cuddling, holding hands, kissing, hugging and more.
