Here’s why you must eat boiled groundnuts, according to Rujuta Diwekar

One of India’s leading celebrity nutritionists, Rujuta Diwekar, has again come up with a healthy snack option. She took to Instagram and mentioned ways to eat groundnuts as this super legume is healthy and can keep you full for a longer duration.

Here are some more reasons why you must have boiled groundnuts, according to Rujuta Diwekar.

For diabetics

FOR DIABETICS: People who have diabetes should eat them as they help in preventing leg pain and night cramps. She further adds that due to its mineral and Vitamin B content, they also help in regulating blood sugar levels.

For heart patients

FOR HEART PATIENTS: People who suffer from heart diseases also have reasons to eat boiled groundnuts. They contain essential fatty acids, resveratrol amongst other antioxidants. All these essential nutrients are beneficial for heart and also prevent free radical damage.

PCOD

PCOD: They help in preventing cramps and bloating. This is due to biotin, B1 and B6 content in them, which also help in preventing acne and hair loss.

Good for teenagers

GOOD FOR TEENAGERS: Rujuta Diwekar recommends boiled groundnuts to teenagers as well. She says that as they are protein enriched and loaded with micronutrients, it also helps in controlling mood swings.

FOR PREGNANT WOMEN: Expectant mothers are also advised to have peanuts regularly. This is because they help in keeping better gut bacteria that help babies to fight infections and allergies.
