We all know that sugar is not good for our health, But still we cannot resist ourselves from having cakes, sweets and chocolates. It seem almost impossible to control the craving of sugar-laden stuffs, especially if it is kept in front of you.

Who does not like to eat sweets and chocoltes, but there is a lot of misinformation associated with its consumption. These questions can confuse anyone. So its time to bust these common sugar related misconceptions.

All sugar is bad

It is believed that all types of sugar are bad and people often refrain themselves from having them, including the naturally sweet food items. There is a huge difference between added sugar and naturally sweet foods like fruits, yoghurt or milk. Having less sugar means using less processed sugar in food. In fact, food item that are naturally sweet are packed with essential nutrients like vitamins and minerals. Do not miss those, rather skip products like desserts, packaged foods and sugary drinks.

Minimally processed sweeteners are better

It is true that minimally processed sweeteners like honey or maple syrup are good as compared to highly processed ones, like white sugar. Minimally processed sweeteners do contain some nutrients but they are negligible and are treated equally to white sugar by the digestive system.
