Reasons why men take more time in the toilet

Men often whine about women spending a lot of time in the washroom to get ready but if you are a woman and you disagree because it is your man who takes longer in the loo, you are not alone. Your fellow women can't agree more.

Here we give you five legit reasons behind it.

2/8

Using his phone

Since the invention of smartphones, using phones in the toilet has been on the rise. A survey conducted in 2012 revealed that 75 people use cell phones while they are in the toilet.

30 per cent of men said using a phone in the toilet was a necessity for them. So, if you notice your man picking up the mobile phone before heading to the restroom, know well enough that he will take longer than you like.

3/8

Is this a healthy practice?

No, absolutely not. According to health experts, one should not spend more than 10 minutes in the toilet, in fact, the lesser the better. You will be surprised to know when you go to the toilet with your phone, your phone becomes 18 times more susceptible to catching germs.

4/8

Masturbating

Unless a man is living alone, a toilet is the only place where he can go and masturbate. If he is sharing a room with his friend or is visiting his family, spending longer time in the toilet becomes completely legit.

5/8

Grooming

Yes, men also need some grooming. Women don’t really know this but it takes time to trim a beard, whether it is done with an electronic trimmer or a regular razor.

6/8

Playing games

Due to their busy lives in the office and home, men find it peaceful to play games while they are in the toilet. And according to the World Health Organisation, digital and video gaming has been classified as mental health disorders. So, if your man is spending too much time in the toilet playing games, it’s time to take it seriously.

7/8

Indulging in self-loving

According to a study conducted in England, 1 out of 10 men admitted that they like to look at themselves in the mirror when no one is around.

8/8

They are crying

Yes, of course, men cry too but as they are not expected to do so, they do it hiding and what can be a better place than a toilet.
