Why is everyone coughing around me? Possible reasons

A cough is your body's way of clearing out air or whatever the source of irritation is in your throat or airways. A cough can be caused by multiple health factors. People who smoke regularly can develop a chronic cough, often known as smoker's cough. This occurs due to their body's natural response to get rid of the chemicals that enter their airways and lungs due to tobacco use. It usually begins as a dry cough but can also produce phlegm.
