Bathing can do more than cleaning the body

Bathing is a regular practice. In the morning, we revive ourselves with an energizing bath. In addition, nothing is better than unwinding in a bubble bath or a hot, steamy shower after a demanding day. Your bathing experience has a lot to do with your health. The techniques and methods you use for bathing can help you keep your health up in many ways.

Using the correct bathing techniques is the key

When it comes to body wash products that keep our skin feeling clean and fresh, we all have our favorites. Whichever you decide on, you should make sure you're using the greatest cleaning methods and the most pleasurable accessories to go along with it. It is true, nonetheless, that cleaning your skin in the shower with the proper procedures has both advantages and disadvantages. Let's explore some shower-related advice that will eventually improve your health and speed up your metabolism.

Bathing during the summer season

Summers call for a bath or shower using the cold water. No matter what products you use, exfoliating in the shower is a must to do during the bath session. Dead skin cells and pollutants that have accumulated throughout the day can be easily removed from your skin by using a muslin cloth as part of your washing routine. To gently exfoliate, simply pour your cleanser on a wet muslin cloth and start rubbing your skin in circular motions.

4/6

How does this aid in faster metabolism?

This method aids in stimulating the lymphatic system, which is located beneath your skin. Due to enhanced blood flow, it may drain more easily, which could speed up metabolism and promote excellent gut health. Not only this, the improved wash works wonders for oilier and combo skin types to prevent blackhead formation and for lightening dull, dry skin.

Bathing during the winter season

During winter, every cold practice increases Vata as per the Ayurveda. This may indicate sluggish metabolism, poor digestion, dryness, aches, and pains, as well as hormone imbalances. Warm showers, however, are reducing vata! However, if you have developed the habit of taking baths in cold water, you can keep doing so as it is no longer harmful to your body and has become "satmya" for you.

Benefits of warm water bath during winter

Following Abhyanga which requires rubbing your body with oil and massaging it well before bathing is advised as per Ayurveda. This helps in restoring the moisture in skin while keeping the blood circulation running. During winter, one may also get little to no sun exposure, hence, sitting out and soaking in the sun after applying oil is advised before bathing with warm water.

According to a recent study, hot water therapy may help enhance metabolism, control inflammation, and blood sugar (glucose) levels, especially in overweight males. Try taking frequent warm baths if you don't have time for a specific exercise routine.
