Diarrhea and abdominal pain

Coronavirus also has the capability of impacting the gut microbes, which can influence your gastrointestinal health. Research has found that 1 in 5 COVID patients develop upset stomachs caused either due to diarrhea and abdominal pain. Also, certain studies have shown that coronavirus patients who develop these symptoms, take longer than others to filter the virus from their bodies.

What do to?

If you have diarrhea, abdominal pain or are nauseous, it doesn't definitely indicate that you have COVID-19. However, it may be a possible symptom, which must be treated as and when diagnosed. If your gastrointestinal problems are linked to COVID-19, the first and foremost step to take is to stay home and isolate yourself from the others. Maintain a separate bedroom and bathroom, so as to reduce the possibility of the spread of the virus. While vaccines are being made available for everyone, it is sure to take some time and therefore, in the meanwhile, one must continue drinking lots of water, eating healthy and must take all the precautionary measures to help contain the virus.
