Difference between optical illusions and brain teasers

Optical illusions are mainly graphic puzzles that are visually deceptive whereas brain teasers are puzzles that challenge your cognitive abilities. They make you see something that is not there, whereas teasers challenge you to solve a puzzle using your creative, reasoning, and logical abilities on the go.
