You are a true geek if you can find the word “Dog” in 10 seconds
Another day another brain teaser. Most people think that puzzles and brain teasers are good for the mental health of preschoolers and school-going kids. However, it is a false notion that older people who play brain games and teasers have the same memory abilities as people in their 20s. It helps in the ignorance of irrelevant distractions and is likely to witness an improvement in their cognitive skills.
As we age, our mental abilities also tend to decrease and we forget the ability to remember multiple things over a short period, which is also called working memory. Therefore, one should go ahead and keep practicing and running their brains for better memory power.
It is also important to note that the game you choose needs to constantly increase the variety and challenge after a certain point of time. Playing over the same thing over and over again will have no challenging impact on the brain and it will run on autopilot. You should also challenge both sides of your brain.

Games and puzzles such as sudoku or chess are great for challenging the left side of the brain. On the other hand, to strengthen the right side one should keep oneself engaged in visual-based brain teasers.
