There is a strong connection between our stress level and hunger hormones. Stress leads to emotional eating, where people use food to feel better. Once in a while, we all cave to our emotional needs, but the problem begins when it becomes a regular thing and starts interfering with our daily lives. Emotional eating on a regular basis can invite a number of concerns like weight gain and indigestion. We talked to a Chandigarh-based dietitian, Shreya to know more about stress eating. She shared a simple formula with letters- STRESS to manage this problem.
