5 natural ways that can help bring down Uric acid in 3 months

The body produces uric acid through its breakdown of purines, which exist in particular foods and beverages. The accumulation of uric acid in blood causes joint pain and inflammation, which results in gout and multiple health complications. The body can naturally lower uric acid levels through basic changes in lifestyle and diet. The following five ways can decrease uric acid levels effectively in three months over and above medication (not to be treated like a substitute for medication)

2/8

Drinking enough water

The human body uses water as its primary method to eliminate excess uric acid through urine, which prevents the substance from accumulating in blood vessels and creating joint crystals. Your daily fluid intake should reach 8 to 12 cups based on your body size and activity level, to maintain diluted urine that promotes regular urination. Sugary beverages increase uric acid levels in the body. Drinking lemon water during breakfast time also helps your body create less acidic blood, while it works to remove uric acid from your system.

3/8

Low-Purine diet

The body contains high levels of purines in red meat and organ meats including liver and kidneys as well as seafood items such as sardines, anchovies, beer and other alcoholic beverages. The breakdown of these substances in the body, results in higher uric acid production. The natural reduction of uric acid levels requires you to cut down on foods that contain high purine content, while consuming foods with low purine levels including eggs, low-fat dairy products, fresh fruits, vegetables and whole grains and nuts. The uric acid levels in your body decrease when you consume foods that contain vitamin C, such as oranges and bell peppers. The control of uric acid levels becomes better when you prepare meals with reduced salt content, and stay away from processed foods. The antioxidants in cherries help lower uric acid levels and reduce inflammation when you eat them regularly.

4/8

Regular exercise

Obesity, or just being overweight, leads to higher uric acid production and decreased body ability to remove uric acid. A weight loss of 5 to 10 percent of your body weight during several months, will lead to substantial function. Regular walking, swimming or cycling sessions of thirty minutes each day, will help decrease uric acid levels and minimise gout attacks. Exercise accelerates metabolism while enhancing blood flow and supporting the kidney. The management of uric acid requires both regular practice, and controlled amounts of exercise.

5/8

No alcohol/sugary drinks

The consumption of beer and spirits along with other alcoholic beverages, leads to higher uric acid production and decreased kidney ability to remove uric acid. The consumption of beverages with high fructose corn syrup content, leads to elevated uric acid levels in the body. Reducing your consumption of these beverages, will help stop uric acid surges, and decrease your chances of developing gout. You should limit your alcohol consumption to small amounts, or avoid it altogether. Drinking water, herbal teas and black coffee, instead of sugary drinks and fruit juices will help you lower your uric acid levels. Consistent hydration, along with a balanced diet and regular exercise, can further support uric acid management and overall joint health

6/8

Say no to alcohol

Drinking alcohol worsens uric acid. On the other hand, the antioxidants anthocyanins present in cherries and berries, help decrease uric acid while providing relief from gout symptoms. The consumption of low-fat dairy products including yogurt and skim milk enhances kidney function while speeding up the process of uric acid elimination. The uric acid levels decrease when you eat kiwi oranges and guava, because these fruits contain vitamin C. Green tea contains antioxidants which help regulate uric acid levels in the body. The anti-inflammatory properties of ginger and turmeric when used in cooking or as tea, may assist with uric acid management. The combination of these specific foods in your regular diet together with other healthy practices, will effectively lower uric acid levels within several months.

7/8

Consume the right food

Consume the right food to keep uric acid in control

8/8

Take care of these things

Small everyday habits can make bigger change. Take care of these things to keep your uric acid in control.
