Sree Balaji Coffee House

The couple has been running a tea shop called Sree Balaji Coffee House in Kochi. Vijayan started this journey way back in 1963. In a statement, Vijayan said that they had a common dream of travelling the world together and that’s why he started selling tea to make money. The average daily footfall of the shop is around 300-350 people.

What’s the saving strategy?

As self-rule, they save Rs 300 every day and then spend a part of the saving during their trip and also take a loan to manage the expense. After every trip, they spend around three years repaying the bank and apply this cycle for every trip. Also, they run the shop themselves, in order to curb the expense of paying salary to employees.

Favourite places

After travelling to 23 countries, they have realised they love Singapore, Switzerland and New York.

Bills and posters

As a memory, they make sure to collect local posters and bills of the countries they visit. All these memories are placed on the wall of the coffee shop.

What’s next?

Now they wish to travel to Sweden, Denmark, Holland, Greenland and Norway and learn about their climate, culture and lifestyle.

Verdict

Where there is a will, there is a way! All you need to do is believe in your dreams and follow your heart. There is nothing called impossible.
