How to make classic Paneer Paratha for breakfast

Easy Paneer Paratha recipe


Classic Paneer Paratha makes for a protein-rich breakfast delight. Made with grated paneer, mixed with spices, this one makes for a filling treat that can be packed for office or school tiffin as well. Scroll down to read the detailed recipe.

Ingredients

2 cups whole wheat flour, water as needed, 1 tsp oil, salt, 1 cup grated paneer, 1 small onion, 1–2 green chillies, 1 tsp grated ginger, 2 tbsp fresh coriander, 1 tsp cumin powder, ½ tsp garam masala, ½ tsp red chilli powder, salt to taste, 1/2 tsp amchur, and ghee or oil for roasting

To begin with, knead a soft dough using flour, oil, salt, and water. Let it rest for 10-15 minutes.

In the meantime, grate the paneer in a mixing bowl.

To this, add chopped onion, ginger, coriander leaves, and green chilli. Mix well.

Now, add spices and salt and combine the mixture well.

Divide the dough into small balls and fill each balls with the paneer mixture.

Roll out parathas using flour dust and a rolling pin.

Cook the paratha on a pre-heated tawa using enough ghee or oil. Serve hot with curd and pickle.
