Is ice cream really bad for human body?

Think of ice cream and nobody likes to settle for a cup or a scoop. It is one of those indulgences that is sweet, tasty and never-ending. According to psychologists, it offers an irresistible combination of cream, cold and comfort that makes you ask for more! Is ice cream healthy?

Every single serving of chocolate ice cream contains around 250-300 calories. Keeping the daily intake of calories of an adult body in mind, in case you eat 3-4 servings of it in a day, that’s more than half of your daily intake.

According to American Heart Association, the daily fat levels should not exceed more than 5 to 6 percent, but when it comes to ice cream, every single serving (105 gms) contains around 15-19 g of fat.

When it comes to sugar consumption, the American Heart Association recommends a daily limit of 24 g of added sugar for women and 36 g for men. You will be surprised to know that every single serving (105 gms) of ice cream contains about 23 g of sugar.

Presence of Trehalose

According to the National Institutes of Health, ice cream contains Trehalose, an artificial sugar that acts as both a sweetener and texturizing agent. It has been linked to serious gut infection that leads to other health problems.
