Pankaj Tripathi's love for food

For Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi, the art of cooking is similar to acting, as they both require passion, creativity, concentration and patience. He believes that the way dialogue delivery requires practice for perfection, cooking also calls for regular practice to get the flavours right. Many of us are not aware that before he became a celebrated face of the tinsel town, Pankaj used to work as a chef at a reputed hotel in Patna. This piece of information explores his connection with food and more.

Worked as a chef

Not many people know that before he became an actor, he worked as a professional cook at a top-notch hotel in Patna. As a trainee, he used to peel vegetables. In an interview, he mentioned that he used to peel 30-35 kg onion, 50 kg potatoes and 500+ eggs a day. It all happened in late 90s, when his uncle, pointed out that there was a huge demand for desi chefs abroad and suggested him to try his hands in a cooking school. Later, he signed up for a two-year course at a popular hotel as a kitchen assistant.

Take on food

For Pankaj, cooking is an art and calls for imagination and acute attention. He also says that cooking is also about the right quantity of ingredients; else it can destroy the dish. For him, whenever he prepares any dish, he prepares a mental map of the dish and then moves ahead.
4/8

Private catering for weddings and birthdays

To make easy money, he privately started catering at weddings and birthday parties. But soon he left the space, as he experienced disrespect for food and chefs at large.
5/8

Childhood food memory

He loves to relish ‘Ghar Ka Khana’ and strongly believe in the traditional methods of cooking food and fondly remembers the magic of spices made on sil-batta at home during the early days. In an interview, he mentioned, “One could smell the aroma of such spices long before entering the house and they add a different dimension to the final dish.”
6/8

Local food lover

Whether he is in India or abroad, he loves indulging in local food because he thinks that the local food helps him understand the water of the place and the local nuances of the dish too. He always recommends his team on trips to east slowly and chew properly to enjoy the flavours.

Dream to open restaurant

In a candid conversation, he has mentioned that he would love to open a restaurant serving Purvanchali food one day. (Image: Instagram/s_foodiebong)

Favourtie food

Pankaj’s all-time comfort food includes Litti Chokha, Sattu Paratha, Sattu ka Sharbat and Chawal Tessi (rice and roasted flaxseeds powder).

Hello,I'm not a doctor or an expert in this issue I just came here to share my experience with people who are suffering from hair falling and hair thinning. I'm 28 years of women from New Mexico. These photos were taken within 3 months gap. I had severe hair falling for the last 4 years. I did straight and iron my hair from the last six years. Every day I saw hundreds of hair in my towel and pillow. I think my hair damaged due to heat and chemicals. I worried a lot about this problem for many years and tried dozens of products and drugs; I spent thousands of dollars to overcome this problem. I am quite interested in reading reviews online and I found "AmyGrow" herbal hair oil with good reviews. I didn't think that it will work for me as I had such bad experience on products which purchased online, but I wanted to give a try on it and I purchased one bottle for checking purpose. It works as cool. Now I am using it for around 3 months with the second bottle and happy to share my experience with people. I remember it completely stopped my hair falling problem in two weeks of continuous use then I was able to see it is thickening my hair. I hope two bottles enough for my problem now am done with 1.5 bottles.
