Importance of millets

In recent times, millets have become the superfood that every nutritionist and health expert is talking about. But did you know that millets are ancient grains that are known for their healthy benefits and are Ayurveda-approved too? They have made a comeback in modern diets for all the right reasons. Rich in fiber, protein, and essential minerals like iron, magnesium, and phosphorus, they support digestion, heart health, and sustained energy. Their low glycemic index makes them ideal for managing blood sugar levels, while their gluten-free nature suits those with gluten sensitivity. Millets like ragi, jowar, bajra, and foxtail millet are also packed with antioxidants that help fight inflammation and oxidative stress. In a recent carousel post on Instagram, celebrity nutritionist Shweta Shah talked about eight types of millets and how they help fight different health issues.
