Easy snacks to pack for weight loss

Weight loss is a tedious task which requires a lot of hard work. While on a weight loss journey, many people fast for long hours and stay hungry. However, health experts agree that it is not a healthy practice and instead, one should eat light food every 2-3 hours rather than consuming 3 meals a day. During the weight loss process, the snacking part is extremely important as that is what determines your extra calorie intake. These snacks not only tend to kill those cravings for good food but provide us with nutrition as well. Thus, one should be extra careful of their munching habits. Keeping all these things in mind, we have brought some delicious snack ideas for you that can be packed into your tiffin or you can enjoy these snacks for breakfast as well. Chivda

To make this quick snack, heat some olive oil in a pan and add 2 cups poha, 3 tbsp melon seeds and 1/2 cup peanuts. Once the ingredients are well roasted, combine them in a bowl, add 1 tbsp chopped ginger, 2 tsp green chillies, 3 tbsp chopped onions and a handful of chopped coriander leaves. After this add 1/4 tsp turmeric powder and 1/2 tsp red chilli powder. Give it a good mix, 1/2 tsp cumin powder and salt as per taste, just your tasty chivda is ready.

Masala Chole

Take 2 cups boiled chickpeas (soaked overnight) and add 1 chopped tomato, 1 chopped onion, a handful of coriander leaves, 1/2 tsp cumin powder, 1 tsp red chilli powder, 1/2 tsp garam masala, salt and black pepper as per taste. Mix it well and enjoy.

Moong Dal Bhel

In a pan, add 1/2 tsp olive oil, 1 tbsp chopped garlic, 2 tsp green chillies and 1 cup boiled green moong dal. Mix well. Then, add 1/2 tsp red chilli powder, 1/2 tsp garam masala, and 1/2 tsp dried mango powder along with salt and black pepper. Fry well and mix with puffed rice, serve hot.
