Vintage Coach bags are a rare find

American fashion house Coach usually falls on the lower end of luxury and was started in the 1940s. However, by the 1960s and 70s, the brand picked up its pace, mainly witnessing huge sales in its bag selections. Known for giving a 90s ‘It’ girl vibe, nowadays we see girls falling in love with Coach Tabby's selection, but a handful of fashion mavens are still not over with the brand’s vintage sales. From the iconic saddlebags to the unique '60s baguettes, let’s checkout some rare vintage Coach bags that require your attention.

The 70s Saddlebag

Debuted in 1972, this leather bag from Coach’s selection came in a variety of shades, including warm red-browns and yellow naturals. Over the decade, the buckles and sizes changed, but the general shape remained the same. This shoulder or crossbody sleek bag looked like a horse saddle bag, which soon transformed into a statement baguette purse. One of the most vintage designs, it recently sold for $4,050 on eBay (INR 3,46,000) and is a rare find these days.

60s Double Pocket Duffle

The baguette-size double-pocket bag is currently making rounds online, but the trend was started by the Bonnie Cashin Coach bag. It featured a double-pocket duffle with two small coin purse clasp pockets attached to the front. The bright striped lining with a leather silhouette – some pieces are available on eBay or Etsy, at $1,000 to $2,000 or INR 85,000 to 1,75,000.

The 60s iconic Pony Express Pouch Bag

This classic pony express bag is another of Cashnin’s designs for the brand, which is selling out like hot cakes in the vintage market. This crescent moon-shaped shoulder bag is a popular designer pick and was made popular by Paris Hilton in the 2000s. Featuring standard, simple tan leather, it fits right in with a modern aesthetic and costs around $1,324 on Etsy, which comes around INR 1,13,000.

90s Winnie Top Handle Bag

This one is coming straight from the 90s selection and was one of the ‘it’ bags of that era. The Winnie top-handle bag is a compact fit and has a small briefcase-like utilitarian style. One of the new vintage selections on the list, this bag is easily found to date and is currently available at $1,000 on eBay, which makes it around INR 85,000.

60s Scissor Frame Tote Bag

Another one from the collection of Bonnie Cashin, the scissor-frame tote bag gets its name from the hinged handles that open and close like a pair of scissors. Vaguely resembling the knitting caddies and bucket bags of the 90s, this coin purse pocket design was a signature of the Cashnin. Still a classic today, you won’t see this selling for less than $1,000 or INR 85,000 and can easily be found on Etsy.
