A true vision of ethnic grace

Celebrating the occasion of Lohri with your friends and family in style can leave you with a feeling of being overwhelmed and confused about what to wear. Lohri calls for fashionable salwar suits and ethnic grace that can be donned with stunning jewellery and full-glam makeup grace. If you’re in a double dilemma this year related to your Lohri outfit, let’s take some inspiration from the dazzling ‘Baby John’ star Wamiqa Gabbi’s ethnic closet, which has raised the bar with her iconic looks over the past years.

The new bride in town

For all the lovely brides set to celebrate their first Lohri, you can opt for this iconic dark red velvet silhouette kurta-salwar set. The ‘Baby John’ actress wore a velvet-kissed bell-sleeved kurta with a round neckline and heavy embroidery in silver that looked one-of-a-kind. She teamed it with straight-fit sharara-style pants in the same shade and design and carried a matching heavy embroidered dupatta that looked absolutely regal and perfect for a new bride in town.

A vision in white

Dressed up like a royal princess in white, Wamiqa wore a stunning flared Anarkali suit with beautiful layers of tulle for a subtle twirl that looked dreamy. Her Anarkali suit featured full sleeves with a V-neckline touch that was layered with an iconic necklace. With minimal embroidery detailing, she teamed it with a plain churidar and a stunning dupatta with same-print embellishment.

The Red Anarkali story

Anarkali in the hues of red looks divine on Wamiqa. She opted for a sindoori dark red flared Anarkali suit featuring half sleeves and a U-cut neckline. The Anarkali suit had minimal prints all over the bodice and teamed it with a same-shade net-finish dupatta with a similar print that looked dreamy and divine. Wamiqa further opted for a red churidar with the look and kept her hair down with stunning wavy curls and an all-glam makeup touch.

The vibrant combo of green and pink

If you’re fantasizing about a vibrant outfit then this should be your go-to cue. The diva wore straight-fit full sleeves with bell detailing around the cuff kurta in the shade of fuchsia pink with heavy golden embroidery. Teaming it with a white salwar with golden thread embroidery, she threw in a net silhouette green dupatta that looked dreamy and one-of-a-kind. Exuding sheer vintage vibes, Wamiqa proved her fashion prowess and stood out to be a royal queen in terms of ethnic fashion.

The elegance of the sharara set

A sharara set can never go wrong during the festive season as it looks iconic and feels comfortable, giving you a rich and royal vibe. Wamiqa opted for a heavy embroidered white short body-fitted kurta with broad straps and a U-cut neckline, with which she opted for a plain white flowy lehenga in a chiffon-net silhouette. She threw in a plain white sheer net dupatta with minimal embellishment and carried an ethnic fairycore aesthetic.
