TT celebrates spring in true sense!

They don���t call him the ���king of drapery��� for nothing!
Yes, we are talking about designer Tarun Tahiliani, who showcased his collection on Day 1 of the ongoing Wills India Fashion Week Spring/Summer ���09.
Theme: ���I never work with a theme, nor am I a follower of trends, so even this collection didn���t have a theme. This collection was a work of draped romance, aimed at making women feel even more feminine.Once again I���ve tried to evoke the beauty of a goddess with my drapes trussing and wrapping around the female form,��� informed TT post the show.
Trends to watch out for:
Silhouette: While drapes remained the major highlight of the collection, other prominent styles to watch were the jersey kurtas with churidaars, sari draped gowns, asymmetrical tunic dresses, corsets, baby dolls and the very flirty tiered skirts and sarong dresses.
Colours: Tahiliani���s colour palette ranged between the summery shades of shell, madhumati pink, rause, taupes and oysters.
Detailing: Heavy chikankari, crochet and pearlised detailing, paisley prints, transfer floral prints, shibori drape added the icing on the cake.
Fabric: Flowy fabrics like silk chiffon, viscose, denim, crinkle cotton and georgette were the prominent fabrics.
Accessories: TT���s collection brought a heavy does of jewellery complementing the attire of goddesses. Bracelets, armlets and waist belts embellished with precious stones like rose quartz, agate and amethysts. Pearl and wooden beaded jewellery were another attraction.Textured bags in leather not just looked chic, but also added pizzaz to the collection.
D��cor: The ramp seemed to be a pure celebration of spring with heavy floral decoration, which is also a part of TT���s designer profile now.
