The Blenders Pride Fashion Tour 2014 in Mumbai

The Blenders Pride Fashion Tour 2014 was a perfect juxtaposition of fashion, class and celebrity as designers gathered at a suburban hotel over a two-day soiree to present their collections.
The venue was set up with futuristic mannequins bearing the theme for both days, amidst a delectable spread that saw guests wine, dine and enjoy a sneak-peek into the collections that were to be displayed.Designers Neeta Lulla, Suneet Varma, Little Shilpa and Shivan and Narresh showcased unique collections. Celebs spotted at the event included Aditi Rao Hydari, Wasim Akram and Sushmita Sen. On the first day, Wasim was the style speaker. Amidst cheers, the cricketer expounded on his style mantra. Day one was a day for traditional Indian designs as Aditi walked as the showstopper for Neeta, who showcased 50’s inspired elegant, vintage western designs fused with an Indian aesthetic, while Suneet wooed the audience with Shekhawati inspired creations — all to the beats of Midival Punditz. Day two saw the runway set afire to music by Ashwin and Ash accompanied by Anushka Manchanda, as Little Shilpa displayed her collection that was quirky yet functional, with a lot of denim and lace. Designers Shivan and and Narresh showcased sizzling swimwear and had Sushmita waltzing in as the showstopper in a bespoke sari-bikini designed by the duo.
