Hottest looks from Paris Fashion Week Men's A/W 2023

From Louis Vuitton's skirts having a moment in fashion for men to Louis Gabriel Nouchi's American Psycho theme, here are the hottest looks we spotted at Paris Fashion Week Men's AW 2023.

The designer is known for doling out stories with his collection and for Fall 2023, Nouchi picked American Pyscho as his inspiration. The suits were worthy of all the admiration as the designer experimented with the silhouette. It had a cinched waist and shoulders darting out. There were also one-shouldered tops for men which have been spotted in other shows of Paris Fashion Week Men's A/W 2023 as well.

All the familiar pieces of clothing that we saw and thought could never look so interesting were turned into the most fashionable garbs by Kim Jones, the creative director for Dior Homme. From fishermen's rain caps, chunky sweaters and slickers to airy poncho windbreakers, they all saw makeovers at the Dior show. Skirts were having a moment for men this season as Robert Pattinson too came wearing a skirt for the Dior show.

Since the death of Virgil Abloh in 2021, the Louis Vuitton men’s studio has taken over the brand’s creative control. Yet Thursday’s set — a vintage childhood home recreated inside the Louvre’s oldest courtyard — was in continuity with Abloh’s coming-of-age styles that have defined his Vuitton tenure from 2018-2021. Patterns evoked encrypted computer coding, while handwritten notes — which are deemed obsolete in today’s world — were upcycled to produce a surreal white suit and top hat look whose façade was constructed entirely of the note paper.

Givenchy creative director Matthew M. Williams showcased a collection of layered looks for men, piling suit jackets on top of hoodies and wide-legged bermudas.

The collection saw dynamic silhouettes oozing with freedom and self-expression. The designer took inspiration from the rave culture. There were flora and fauna motifs on washed silks, overdyed fabrics and textured knitwear.
