Rashmika Mandanna ditches yellow for pista green at Haldi, Vijay Deverakonda’s pastel look steals hearts

  • If you’ve been scrolling through Instagram lately, you know that Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda have basically been the gift that keeps on giving. Their Udaipur wedding was already the stuff of legends, but the new photos they just dropped from their Haldi - or as they called it, their "Haldi + Holi" party - are pure joy.Forget the heavy, formal vibes; this was all about laughter, water fights, and a dreamy boat entry at the ITC Mementos that looked straight out of a movie.

The outfits: Fresh, light, and unconventional

When it comes to Haldi, most people automatically think yellow. But Rashmika and Vijay decided to flip the script with Anamika Khanna. Instead of the traditional palette, they went for soft, "candy-crush" pastels that felt incredibly modern.

Rashmika looked like a dream in a pista green, off-shoulder ensemble. It was breezy and effortless - exactly what you want to be wearing when you know you’re about to be drenched in color.

Vijay complemented her perfectly in a pastel pink kurta detailed with delicate floral embroidery. It was masculine but soft, and honestly, the pink-and-green combo against the Udaipur backdrop was a masterstroke.

Anamika Khanna summed up the vibe perfectly, saying: "Some ceremonies aren’t just about how you look, but how you feel. For Vijay and Rashmika’s haldi, we imagined something light, joyful, and full of the warmth that surrounds two people about to begin their life together."

The jewellery: A temple gold statement

While Vijay usually goes all out with his jewellery, he kept it remarkably low-key this time with just a single, thick gold chain.

The real spotlight was on Rashmika’s jewelry. She leaned into her roots with stunning Temple Gold pieces that elevated her pista green outfit instantly. She wore:

A delicate maang tikka and a pair of matching statement earrings.

A stack of gold bangles on both wrists.

A dainty neckpiece that didn't feel too heavy for a daytime celebration.

    More like Haldi + Holi

Reading their captions, you can tell the day was absolute chaos in the best way possible. Rashmika joked that they were so "drenched and dipped" in color that she still has red stains in her hair. She even teased that Vijay was "Team Bride" for the day, helping her win all the wedding games.

Vijay, on the other hand, admitted they were all running on pure adrenaline after a Sangeet that lasted until the early hours. "Waking up would have been impossible," he wrote, "but we were all up excited... we had lots of water, color, music, and action to keep us all hyper awake."

    So real

Their Haldi is a great reminder that your wedding festivities should feel like you. It doesn't always have to be about the most expensive lehenga or the trendiest color - sometimes, it’s just about wearing something lightweight enough to have a water fight in.
