Recreate Kriti Sanon’s ‘Mukti’ looks

In 2013, we all saw the magic of Kundan and Zoya in Raanjhanaa, crafted by director Anand L. Rai. Represented by Dhanush and Sonam Kapoor, the characters were ardently loved by the audience, with girls almost going gaga over Sonam Kapoor’s ‘Zoya’ wardrobe and hopping onto the trend of wearing a kurta with jeans, a rebellious charm that blended seamlessly with traditional ethics.
Now, the director is back with a spin-off starring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon as Shankar and Mukti. While people eagerly await the film’s plot reveal, the audience is already drooling over Kriti Sanon’s promotional looks. She’s nailing it with classic ethnic ensembles that are worth pinning to your shaadi moodboard. Let’s decode all her ‘Mukti’-coded looks and recreate them this wedding season.

Twirling effortlessly in a refined Rohit Bal outfit

Kriti started off looking ravishing and iconic in a fluid, floor-length chiffon anarkali dipped in ivory grace, sourced from designer Rohit Bal’s label. The flowy silhouette, structured neckline, and embroidered base looked stunning with a matching ivory full-length traditional jacket. Decorated with intricate resham and pearl embroidery, Kriti simply twirled in this sophisticated Rohit Bal ensemble, which looked no less than a masterpiece.

Anita Dongre’s hand-block printed saree

She then donned a pre-draped all-red saree by Anita Dongre that perfectly fit her tall frame and accentuated her side curves in the most sophisticated and subtle manner. Crafted from georgette, this iconic saree featured the majestic hand-block Ajrakh print with a dramatic fringe and sequin placement on the drape. Elevating the look further was her high-neckline matching blouse, which gave a sensuous and dramatic touch with fringe detailing. It covered the front entirely and had a sleek backless design.

The purple luxury of Anamika Khanna

Kriti was next seen in a beautiful Anarkali set from designer Anamika Khanna’s wardrobe. This time, she went for a striking purple hue with gold dori work, which looked glamorous and instantly charmed us all. The intricate floral embroidery beautified the base and gave off a modern-day Maharani vibe. The high-neckline design with gathered waist detailing looked exquisite, while the shimmer tassels hanging around the hemline elevated the look instantly. With glittering sequins across the main bodice, the ensemble gave a sheen effect with a celestial edge, perfectly matching Kriti’s grace and personality.

Delivering style in modern-day brocade glam

Kriti Sanon served perfect festive elegance in this contemporary ensemble, blending tradition with modern sophistication and showing how brocade can be both cutting-edge and classic. At the heart of the ensemble lay the stunning Sobariko Heera Borcade Jaal kurta with matching pants. The metallic hand-woven fabric exuded an heirloom feel, while the whole ensemble appeared fluid and effortless. The golden detailing against the black base struck the ideal balance between regal charm and modern-day elegance, all while maintaining comfort.

Shining in golden aesthetics

Kriti Sanon arrived in Varanasi with the whole team of Tere Ishq Mei and was seen performing the sacred Ganga Aarti in a golden ethnic set. Sourced from the label Raw Mango, she wore the Imarti Kurta paired with the Bayaar Sharara, featuring a subtle high-neckline kurta with elbow-length sleeves and a super-flared sharara. While the set was dipped in a plain golden sheen, Kriti added a contrasting green dupatta from the brand, achieving a rooted-in-tradition look that harmonized perfectly with the aesthetics of the city.
