The subtle court wedding

Opting for a laid-back and intimate sari, Bollywood actress Sagarika Ghatge tied the knot with Indian cricketer Zaheer Khan in November 2017. The duo opted for a court marriage in Mumbai with stylish pre-wedding festivites. Sagarika's bridal rulebook had the perfect balance between modernity and Indian sensibilities, as she carried her outfits with a modest touch, but stuck to the roots without being too loud and gordy. Let’s unfold the royalty and sophistication seen in her bridal fit.

The registered marriage

Sagarika stunned in a beautiful silky drape sari which is always the pulse of the moment. She stunned in a ravishing red sari with a maroon and golden petal blouse. The red Sabyasachi sari had a rich golden border, brought a cultural approach to her outfit, and looked like a blooming flower. The half-sleeve length blouse has golden thread detailing which took the shapes of small petals and perfectly contrasted with the bright red silk.

The minimal hair and statement jewellery

The stunner teamed it up with beautiful yet minimal antique jewellery, and wore a silver choker with matching earrings and added statement rings and green bangles. She also wore a classic mangalsutra, which made her overall appearance eminently and distinguished. Talking about her makeup, the actress opted for a fuss-free and simple bun hairstyle, with a neat bindi, to tone up her bridal look.

The stylish fits

Talking about her other wedding attire, the actress opted for a mint green flared lehenga with detailed embroidery coming from the House of Anita Dongre. Next, for her cocktail, she opted for a mind pink sari with intricate detailing by Faabiiana. Her sangeet was over the top and for that, she opted for a Falguni Shane Peacock ensemble in the shades of grey with a shiny-mirror glance detailing. Lastly, for her Mumbai reception, she opted for a Sabyasachi lehenga and wore a Banarasi flare taking out the old charm effect.

The love story

Zaheer Khan, the former Indian cricketer, and Sagarika Ghatge, the Bollywood actress known for her role in "Chak De! India," first crossed paths through mutual friends and quickly formed a deep connection. Their relationship blossomed away from the public eye, characterized by mutual respect and admiration. The couple made their relationship official by appearing together at Yuvraj Singh and Hazel Keech's wedding in 2016, and they announced their engagement in April 2017.
