Madhuri Dixit just turned a simple ivory saree into the chicest power-dressing moment

Madhuri Dixit brings understated elegance to promotions in a printed ivory saree by Ekaya Banaras

There is something about Madhuri Dixit and sarees that never misses. Whether she is dressed in heavily embroidered festive drapes or softer everyday silhouettes, she somehow manages to make every look feel graceful without trying too hard. And her latest appearance during the promotions of her Netflix film Maa Behen was no different.

Stepping out in an ivory printed saree from Ekaya Banaras, Madhuri kept things polished, elegant and refreshingly simple.

A saree look that felt classy with a corporate twist

The actor wore the label’s Ivory Georgette Placement Printed Saree paired with a matching blouse and an interesting jacket-style layer that instantly changed the mood of the outfit. While the saree itself had a soft feminine charm thanks to its floral digital print, the structured jacket added a slightly formal edge to the entire look.

And honestly, that combination gave major “power dressing meets traditional wear” energy.

At first glance, the outfit looked sophisticated and chic, but there was also a slight “lawyer lady” vibe to it — the kind of look you could imagine in a courtroom drama where the lead character means serious business but still turns heads while doing it.

The floral print kept the look from feeling too serious

What balanced the sharpness of the jacket was the saree’s print. The cream georgette drape featured bold floral placement detailing that added movement and softness to the outfit. Instead of looking overly festive or heavily embellished, the saree stayed light and wearable.

That is probably what made the outfit stand out.

It did not rely on loud sequins, dramatic embroidery or flashy styling. The charm came from the clean silhouette and the unusual pairing of classic Indian wear with a more structured layer.

The saree, priced at ₹29,975, also reflected the kind of understated luxury fashion that has been quietly taking over celebrity wardrobes lately.
