The 3-day stylish pre-wedding show

Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding celebrations took place from March 1 to March 3 in Jamnagar, Gujarat in presence of prominent personalities from across the globe. From national and international stars marking their presence to cricketers and billionaire industrialists on the guest list, this could be easily dubbed as the event of the year. The duo got engaged in a Gol Dhana ceremony in Mumbai last year, and the two are tie the knot on July 12, 2024. The three-day extravagant affair in Gujarat’s Jamnagar was widely searched for by the fans on social media with different themes for day and evening events. Let’s do a quick recap of every celebration with the Ambanis.

Culinary delight and feats

Before the arrival of the guests, the Ambanis hosted culinary and community feats for 51,000 villagers living at Jamnagar and served them multiple dishes made by around 100 Indian chefs. All the people had access to hairstylists and dressing teams available on the house.

The arrival of the guests (Day 1)

In the morning, guests from all over the globe were seen making their grand entry at Jamnagar’s airport where they were welcomed by Gujarati traditional songs with refreshing drinks and fresh fruits. From industrialists such as Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, and Ivanka Trump, to Bollywood celebrities Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Aditya Roy Kapur, Ananya Panday, Shanaya Kapoor, Suhana Khan, Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan, and many more were spotted making their entry for the grand celebrations ahead.

Pre-wedding gala with a smashing performance (Day 1)

The pre-wedding gala of the duo witnessed personalities making their sharp appearances in the shades of white and black primarily. With stunning gowns and suits all around, everyone looked fine as wine in the evening which was followed by a smashing performance of international singer Rihanna taking the floor. All the big names in the room danced to her beats with enthusiasm, post her departure the bride and groom came on stage and thanked everyone for joining the celebrations from different parts of the globe.

The Vantara tour (Day 2)

On Day 2, the family invited their guests to take a lavish tour of their newly inaugurated pet project ‘Vantara.’ The guests were given a jungle-based sartorial theme for the noon with Bollywood stars and prominent personalities showing up in florals, hats, and leopard prints which looked chirpy and fun. The event also included wildlife-themed local activities with an entertainment center.

Bollywood night (Day 2)

The Bollywood night was a homerun bringing the three Khans of Bollywood- Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan together, as they gave a stunning performance and were later on joined by South superstar Ram Charan. On stage, people witnessed a special performance by Janhvi Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, and Manish Malhotra. The Ambanis also gave stunning performances - from Nita-Mukesh Ambani’s breathtaking performance to Akash-Shloka Ambani’s emotional one, they were all a hit. However, the best act was kept for the last as Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh crooned himself into people's hearts.

The maha aarti (Day 3)

In the morning, the media witnessed more celebrities such as Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and others flying in for the last day celebration which started with a stunning forest trail around the venue and in the evening with a beautiful and traditional maha aarti performance which was attended by all the guests.

The Hashtakshar ceremony (Day 3)

The last event of the celebration commenced with celebrities adorning stunning traditional outfits following the theme of the evening titled ‘The Heritage Indian’ was witnessed which focused around the hues of golden, silver, and red. Radhika Merchant made a stunning entry as she walked down the aisle towards Anant Ambani in a stunning lehenga-sari and together the duo completed their Hashtakshar ceremony. It was followed by beautiful performances by Shreya Ghoshal, Arijit Singh, Akon, DJ Chetas, and Lucky Ali.
