‘It felt like one of us reached Cannes’: Artisans behind Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s gown get emotional in viral video

But a video shared by designer Amit Aggarwal has shifted attention to a different set of people - the artisans who spent months bringing that gown to life.

And honestly, their reactions are hard to watch without feeling emotional.

The video takes viewers inside the workshop where the outfit was made. Instead of glamour shots and celebrity moments, it captures something much simpler. Pride. Relief. Happiness. The kind that comes after spending countless hours working on something and finally seeing it in the spotlight.



One artisan shared that as soon as photos of Aishwarya at Cannes started circulating online, his phone began ringing non-stop. Friends and relatives were calling to congratulate him. Even his wife asked him how he felt seeing their work on such a huge stage.

His answer was unexpectedly sweet.

Rather than talking about himself, he asked her what she thought of the outfit.

Another artisan admitted that while the team creates many garments throughout the year, this project felt different from day one. Everyone knew who it was being made for. And when you're creating something for Aishwarya Rai, there's naturally a little extra pressure to get every detail right.
