Delightful children’s books to celebrate Hanukkah this year

In India, and all across the world, festivals play an important role in people's lives. Festivals give them a chance to come together and celebrate them as one large family. Just a day back, on November 28, the Jewish festival of Hanukkah began and will finish on December 6. Hanukkah - Hebrew for "dedication"- is also known as 'Chanukah' or the Festival of Lights. It commemorates the victory of the Maccabees, a small army of Jewish people, fighting against the army of King Antiochus IV of Syria.

Here's a look at 6 delightful children’s books to celebrate Hanukkah this year.

'Hanukkah Lights' by David Martin

The book's blurb best describes its inside contents, "Candles on the menorah, ready to light! At Hanukkah, there are many much-anticipated rituals — latkes to eat, dreidels to spin, presents to give and receive, and shiny gold treats. Add some free-form fun, from shadow puppetry to singing and dancing, and you have a warm, truly child-friendly celebration."
