5 heart-touching books written in the form of letters

Countless times the written word transcends mere communication and blossoms into an artful exchange of thoughts and emotions. In the realm of epistolary, letters become windows into the souls of characters. There are enchanting books that have been crafted in the form of letters, where the power of the pen transforms into an intimate dance of emotions. Some of love, some turmoil and others even sadness. Each page offers a glimpse into the lives, aspirations, confessions, and confidences of the characters, inviting readers in while they flip through the pages and discover more of the letters.

Here we list down 5 books that were written in the form of letters.

'To All the Boys I've Loved Before' by Jenny Han

Although described by some as a rather childish and monotonous book, 'To To All the Boys I've Loved Before' presents childhood love and emotions through some ways. Teenagers particularly relate to the book as it is about a young girl who never openly expressed her love interests and found solace in writing heartfelt letters to each boy she admired. She would seal them and keep them hidden in a box beneath her bed.

One fateful day, she discovers that her private box of letters has been inadvertently mailed, causing all her former crushes to confront her about these unsent letters.

'Letters to Milena' by Franz Kafka

Kafka and Milena crossed paths in 1920 when she undertook the task of translating his early short prose into Czech. This professional relationship soon blossomed into a profound bond. Kafka held such deep affection for Milena that he entrusted her with his diaries, revealing the depths of his heart and conscience. Milena, being Kafka's Czech translator, possessed a unique understanding of his intricate brilliance and the complexities of his character. To the 36-year-old Kafka, she embodied a vibrant flame unlike any he had ever encountered—a source of both inspiration and vulnerability. It is said that in her presence, he bared his most private and intimate self.
