5 ways to hide love bites

Love it when your lover leaves a mark of love on your body, but scared of the fact that someone might find out? Well, here are some tips that can help you to get rid of those deep love scars.

Makeup tools: The most effective tool to hide the hickey is by using smart make-up tricks. The green-tinted concealer is the best as it negates the red tones of the skin. Apply a foundation that's a little lighter than your skin tone, directly on the hickey (love bite) and all around it. The idea is to even out the skin tone. You can also dust a little translucent powder to hide it further.

Makeup tools: Another effective tool to hide the hickey is by using smart makeup tricks. The green-tinted concealer is the best as it negates the red tones of the skin. Apply a foundation that's a little lighter than your skin tone, directly on the hickey and all around it. The reason is to make it look like an even skin tone and not an attempt to hide the hickey. Brush it off: Many people also swear by using toothbrush to wear off the marks. Opt for a brand new toothbrush with stiff bristles and start brushing it all over the area. This will stimulate the blood circulation, causing the marks to subside. But be gentle as applying too much pressure can make it worse.

If incase you have given more pressure due to which the redness spreads then add an ice pack on it and let it cool. The redness will automatically lessen down. (Thinkstock Photos/Getty Images)

Paste it well: You can also take a chance by using some toothpaste on it. Gently rub a small amount of the toothpaste on it and leave it for few minutes. It might tingle for a while, but once that stops, use a warm washcloth and gently rub it off. If the marks don't subside within 24 hours repeat the process. (Thinkstock Photos/Getty Images)

Cover it smartly: If you don't have enough time to try any of these methods then wear a high necked or a turtle neck shirt. You can also use a scarf or a stole to cover the ones on your neck. Also leave your hair down as that will also help in hiding the hickey. (Thinkstock Photos/Getty Images)
