6 ways to lighten the dark skin around your private area

One of the most embarrassing beauty problems faced by women is the dark private areas. The intimate areas tend to get darker and the colour difference is quite visible. This can happen due to friction, rashes, tight clothes, sweating and even hormonal factors. Be it your inner thighs or the pelvic area, this skin problem can be treated without any expensive products. Here, we have listed six home remedies to treat the dark skin around your pubic area:

2/7

Yoghurt

Just the plain yogurt can also help to lighten darker skin patches. It also helps to calm skin irritation and rashes. Apply the yoghurt on the skin area for 10-15 minutes and wash it off with lukewarm water.

3/7

Gram Flour (Besan)

Make a thick paste of gram flour and water. Apply this mixture on the affected area and let it dry. Wash it off with lukewarm water and repeat this process 2-3 times a week for best results.

4/7

Aloe Vera Gel

The gel is enriched with minerals and vitamins which boosts collagen and lighten the dark skin. All you need to do is apply the aloe vera gel on the area for 20-30 minutes.

5/7

Orange juice and turmeric

Using turmeric for skin lightening is one of the most popular Indian remedies. On the other hand, orange juice works like a natural bleach just like lemon. For this DIY, mix three parts of orange juice with a pinch of turmeric powder and apply on the skin.

6/7

Rosewater and sandalwood

Sandalwood is known for treating discolouration while rose water moisturises the skin. For this pack, make a paste by mixing one part of rose water and sandalwood powder. Use this mixture on the desired area and watch it off when dry.

7/7

Potatoes

Cut a slice of potato and massage it on the concerned area in circular motion. It is loaded with natural bleaching properties, which can help to lighten the affected area.
