Cleanse

In order to maximise every step of this facial, it is important to start with a clean face. If you are wearing make-up then you should first remove it using a make up remover. Then you have to clean your face using a face wash to remove the residue.

3/7

Exfoliate

Exfoliating helps in removing dead skin cells from the surface of your skin and makes sure that the products you apply are properly absorbed. You can use exfoliating scrubs available in the market however it is always beneficial to use a home-made facial scrub. You can make a scrub using coffee and aloe vera clear gel.

4/7

Steam

Now that your face is freshly exfoliated, you can now use a steamer or you can also use this at-home steamer. All you have to do is fill a bowl with warm water, make sure the water is not boiling. Place a towel in it and check if it is cool enough to be placed on your face. Enjoy the steam for five minutes by gently applying it on your face.

Remove blackheads

If you are using an extractor tool to remove your blackheads, make sure you do it carefully. You can also extract the blackheads using your fingers. All you have to do is wash your hands and wrap your fingers in a tissue or toilet paper. Place your fingers around the comedo and squeeze out the blackheads.

6/7

Face mask

Apply a face mask, can be gel-based, clay based or you can even use a sheet mask. You can also use a home-made face mask using the ingredients like yogurt, honey and avocado. Leave the face mask on your face for 10-15 minutes and remove it using a damp washcloth.

7/7

Moisturise and Massage

Apply a good layer of your favourite moisturiser and gently massage your face as it helps in increasing the blood circulation. You can massage your face using a jade roller, a gua sha tool or even your fingers.
