How do hair growth serums work?

Serums contain hydrating agents such as glycerin or hyaluronic acid that retain moisture and prevent your strands from brittleness and dryness. Well-hydrated hair is usually less prone to breakage and supports healthier growth. Many serums also include fatty acids like almond, coconut, or argan oil, which nourish the hair follicles, producing thicker hair strands. Maintain your damaged cuticles, strengthen the hair shafts, and enjoy fuller and healthier strands. Let’s create 5 magical hair serums at home and fight against issues of hair fall.

Coconut oil and aloe vera

Step 1: Take 2 tablespoons of fresh aloe vera gel, 1 tablespoon of extra-virgin coconut oil, and add 3 drops of rosemary essential oil for your scalp stimulation.
Step 2: Whisk the aloe vera gel with coconut oil and achieve a smooth, uniform blend. Add drops of rosemary essential oil for a soothing scent.

Step 3: Store this mixture in a clean container and preserve it in the refrigerator. Use this homemade serum on damp hair thrice a week and lock in moisture.

Step 2: Combine them in a spray bottle and squeeze a vitamin E capsule into the solution. Now, shake it gently until it’s well mixed.
Step 3: Lightly spritz this serum on your hair every day and gently massage your scalp for 5-10 minutes.

Avocado and almond oil serum

Step 1: Take 2 tablespoons of ripe and mashed avocado and add 1 tablespoon of sweet almond oil with 5 drops of lavender essential oil for a soothing scent.
Step 2: Mash the avocado until there are no lumps visible and stir in the almond oil swiftly. Enjoy the calming fragrance, and then add drops of lavender essential oil.
Step 3: Apply this mixture immediately and leave it for 20 minutes after dampening your hair. Let the proteins penetrate deep into the hair shafts.

Hibiscus and olive oil serum

Step 1: Take 5 hibiscus petals and wash them thoroughly. Create a ground paste and add 2 tablespoons of extra-virgin olive oil.
Step 2: Gently warm the mixture. But do not overheat it. Spread this serum through your damp hair and let it sit for around 30 minutes, followed by your usual shampoo routine.

Green tea and aloe vera serum

Step 1: Take a quarter cup of brewed and cooled green tea. Add 2 tablespoons of aloe vera gel and 1 teaspoon of honey.

Step 2: Once your green tea is cooled down completely, add the aloe vera gel and honey, and create a gel-like consistency.

Step 3: Transfer the mixture into a spray bottle and store it in the fridge. Do not use it immediately. After your shampooing process, apply this thrice a week and lock the moisture into your strands.
