Kannada TV shows are inspired by films

Sandalwood industry may be borrowing actors from tele-serials. But the tele-serial makes are trying to cash in on the popularity of the famous Kannada films, by naming their serials after Sandalwood films. We list some of the tele serials whose titles are taken from Kannada films.
Jothe Jotheyali: The Jothe Jotheyali serial which began airing on Zee Kannada recently is about a young guy falling in love with a girl who is older than him. The tele-serial has already started to receive very good response from television viewers. The title is taken form a super hit movie Jothe Jotheyali which had Ramya and Prem in the lead roles.

Milana: Milana is based on a triangular love story which has been aired on Suvarna from Monday to Saturday at 8.30 pm. The title has been derived from blockbuster movie Milana which had Puneeth Rajkumar, Pooja Gandhi and Paravati Menon in the lead role.

Panduranga Vittala: It is a hilarious tele serial which has been aired on Zee Kannada at 10pm from Monday to Friday. The serial is about the antics of a family headed by Panduranga Vittala. The title is taken from Ravichandaran’s movie Panduranga Vittala which had Prema, Shruthi and Rambha in the lead roles.

Ambari: The title is borrowed from Yogesh starrer movie Ambari. Till now, Ambari happens to be the best movie in Yogi’s career. The serial which was started from July has been telecasted on Suvarna at 6.30 pm from Monday to Saturday. The story of the movie is about a married women and how she copes with her husband and family.

Agni Sakshi: The tele serial which has Sanidhi and Siddharth as the lead pair is a family drama. The serial can be viewed in ETV Kannada from Monday to Friday on 8pm. The title of the serial is inspired by a famous movie Agnisakshi which had Devaraj and Malashree in the lead.
