Youth held for threatening to blow up passport office in Hyderabad
A youth wearing a belt with what he claimed was an explosive device created a flutter when he threatened to blow up the Regional Passport Office.
The incident caused panic at the main entrance of the passport office at about 7 am, when people were being allowed into the office after obtaining tokens.
The youth, identified as Rupesh Kumar Singh, a resident of Kurnool district, was immediately taken into custody and he is being questioned, DCP (North Zone) M Shiva Prasad said.
"It seems the youth is not mentally sound and he is very depressed," Prasad said.
