HYDERABAD: A youth wearing a belt with what he claimed was an explosive device created a flutter on Tuesday when he threatened to blow up the Regional Passport Office if his sister's passport was not issued in 10 minutes.The incident caused panic at the main entrance of the passport office at about 7 am, when people were being allowed into the office after obtaining tokens.
About 400 people were waiting in queue at the time.
The youth, identified as Rupesh Kumar Singh, a resident of Kurnool district, was immediately taken into custody and he is being questioned, DCP (North Zone) M Shiva Prasad said."It seems the youth is not mentally sound and he is very depressed," Prasad said.
