Watch: Jaishankar addresses Bangladesh crisis in Rajya Sabha, says keeping close watch on situation
NEW DELHI: "Several minorities, their businesses and temples were attacked during the Bangladesh protest on August 5," Jaishankar said in Rajya Sabha.
"We are in close and continuous touch with the Indian community in Bangladesh through our diplomatic missions. There are an estimated 19,000 Indian nationals there of which about 9000 are students," Jaishankar added.
