The highway serves as a vital link between Kohima and multiple areas, including Tseminyu, Wokha, Pughoboto subdivision under Zunheboto, and Mokokchung.The India Meteorological Department has issued weather warnings for Arunachal Pradesh, forecasting widespread rainfall and thunderstorms until August 28. Specific alerts have been issued for Anini and Yingkiong, which are under a yellow alert with expectations of overcast skies and light rainfall not exceeding 5 mm per hour.The Nagaland incident, triggered by continuous spells of heavy rain, has left numerous passenger and commercial vehicles stranded on both sides of the affected stretch. While no casualties have been reported, the ongoing mudslides have delayed road clearance operations.District administration, police, and public works department personnel have responded to the situation in Nagaland.
