Vice Admiral Dhowan takes over as Navy vice chief

Vice Admiral RK Dhowan on Wednesday took over as the new vice chief of naval staff. He took over from Vice Admiral DK Dewan who retired as the vice-chief after serving the Navy for 38 years.

NEW DELHI: Vice Admiral RK Dhowan on Wednesday took over as the new vice chief of naval staff. He took over from Vice Admiral DK Dewan who retired as the vice-chief after serving the Navy for 38 years.
The tenure of Vice Admiral Dewan as the vice chief was marked by cent per cent utilisation of the naval budget in last two fiscal years with over 80% increase in capital expenditure, the Navy said.
