Transfer Seer case outside TN: Advani

RANCHI: BJP president L K Advani onFriday demanded that all the cases against Kanchi Shankaracharya JayendraSaraswathi be tried outside Tamil Nadu to ensure that justice isdelivered."I know it is for the judiciary to decide, but the waything have gone and the way the Shankaracharya was treated, the people and thenation were concerned... so it is proper to transfer all the cases outside TamilNadu," Advani told reporters in Ranchi.Asked whether the demand forshifting of cases against the Seer would influence the trial, Advani said, "No,it will not influence the process of justice. The law will take its owncourse."To another query, whether it would not set a precedent, hesaid, "There has been a precedence otherwise I would not have said."He said, no other religious leaders would have faced the treatmentto which the Shankaracharya was subjected.
