Stay where you are, don't rush to your villages in panic, PM Modi urges people

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday evening urged people not to leave cities of their workplace in panic and rush to their villages.
In a series of tweets in Hindi, PM Modi warned that travelling on crowded trains and buses would not just put the lives of individuals at risk but would also endanger lives of their family members and relatives in the villages.
"Please stay where you are. With this, all of us can stop the disease from spreading. We are playing with our health by crowding railway stations and bus stands. Please worry about yourself and your family; do not leave your house if it is not necessary," PM Modi said.

"Due to the coronavirus scare, many of my brothers and sisters are leaving the cities where they work to rush back to their villages. Travelling in congested trains and buses can increase the risk of spreading the infection. Please stay where you are as you might put people in your villages at risk," he said in another tweet.
