The incident took place at Cosmopolitan Public School at Civil Lines area in Moradabad on Monday. SSP, Moradabad, Ajay Anand, told TOI that further investigations were on. "Any attempt to intimidate people would be dealt with severely," Anand said.
According to reports, a few months ago, Priti (name changed), a teacher in the school, approached manager Gopinath Singh and requested him to employ her friend Lovely as a teacher.
When Singh refused, Priti allegedly turned aggressive. This led to a confrontation which ended with the latter being sacked in January.
According to Gopinath Singh, Priti walked into the campus on Monday with over a dozen youth wearing saffron headbands. Without a provocation, the miscreants started beating the manager, principal and teachers who tried to intervene.
Some girl students were also allegedly molested and assaulted. The assailants damaged school property including furniture. In the meantime, police reached the spot and managed to arrest Priti, her mother Sushila and Lovey, along with 10 others.
