NEW DELHI: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president JP Nadda hoisted the national flag on the 75th Republic Day at the party headquarters in the national capital on Friday.

Speaking at the event, Nadda expressed the party's commitment to transform India into a developed and self-reliant nation.

Addressing the gathering at the BJP party office Nadda said, "We have resolved to make Bharat a developed and self-reliant nation."

In a post on X, Nadda posted, "Hearty greetings to all the countrymen on '75th Republic Day'. Today, on this occasion, I salute all our freedom fighters, brave soldiers and constitution-makers who sacrificed everything for the sovereignty, integrity and unity of the nation."



Prime Minister Narendra Modi also conveyed his best wishes to the nation on the occasion of the 75th Republic Day.

President Droupadi Murmu will lead the country in the grand celebrations of the 'Amrit Kaal' journey, which marks 75 years of India's independence. The parade will showcase the rich cultural diversity of India, the self-reliant military strength, and the empowerment of women.

French President Emmanuel Macron will be the Chief Guest at the event. The parade will feature various displays of the country's defense forces, state-of-the-art equipment, and cultural performances. This year's parade will involve around 13,000 special guests from different walks of life, promoting public participation in the national festival.

The Republic Day parade will begin at 10:30 am and last for approximately 90 minutes. The ceremony will commence with Prime Minister Narendra Modi paying tribute to the fallen heroes at the National War Memorial.
