Qwik Supply top donor to NCP of Pawar Sr

MUMBAI: Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) received donations totaling Rs 28.5 crore through EBs. Among big donors were Qwik Supply Chain Pvt Ltd (Rs 10 crore), Rahul Bhatia (Rs 3.8 crore), Torrent Power Ltd(Rs 3.5 crore), and Magarpatta Township Dev & Const (Rs 3 crore). Other donors included Mahalaxmi Vidyut Pvt Ltd, Nanded City Development and Construction, Ambuja Housing & Urban Infrastructure, Cyzachem Pvt Ltd, SEZ Biotech Services, Chanda Investment Trading, Com Ltd and Goa Carbon Ltd. Manyof them are infrastructureor real estate developers.

State NCP (S) president Jayant Patil on Thursday said his party received donations worth Rs 50.51 crore from bonds. However, EC has pegged the total at Rs 65.6 crore. Patil said all transactions took place when NCP was united, and he would raise the discrepancy in funds with EC. State NCP president Sunil Tatkare said his party has no EB funds.
