A state-of-the-art integrated passenger terminal building at Dera Baba Nanak and a four-lane National highway (NH-354B) from Dera Baba Nanak to the international boundary were built last year to provide smooth and easy passage to pilgrims to Kartarpur Sahib. Reddy informed the MPs that the passport of pilgrims was not being stamped by the immigration authorities and that the government of India had repeatedly urged Government of Pakistan not to levy any fee or charge on the pilgrims.
Pakistan charges US$ 20 from each pilgrim visiting Kartarpur Sahib via the corridor.
