No need to panic, government working to ensure safety of all: PM Modi

PM Modi on Thursday urged people not to panic but to take precautions over the situation due to coronavirus. PM Modi also urged the countrymen to avoid non-essential travel and said, "No Minister of the Central Government will travel abroad in the upcoming days. We can break the chain of spread and ensure safety of all by avoiding large gatherings."

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday urged people not to panic but to take precautions over the situation due to the Covid-19 Novel coronavirus.
"The government is fully vigilant about the situation due to COVID-19 Novel Coronavirus," PM Modi said in a series of two tweets to assure the nation amid the rising fear over coronavirus spread.


"Across ministries & states, multiple steps have been proactively taken to ensure safety of all.

These steps are wide-ranging, from suspension of Visas to augmenting healthcare capacities," he added.
PM Modi also urged countrymen to avoid non-essential travel and said "No Minister of the Central Government will travel abroad in the upcoming days."
"We can break the chain of spread and ensure safety of all by avoiding large gatherings," he said.
