Middle East tensions: PM Modi, Emmanuel Macron discuss need for dialogue & diplomacy
NEW DELHI: India continued to engage the international community over the situation in West Asia region as PM Modi on Thursday spoke to French President Emmanuel Macron, reiterating the need for a return to dialogue and diplomacy.
"Spoke with my friend President Emmanuel Macron today. We discussed our shared concerns over the evolving situation in West Asia and the need for a return to dialogue and diplomacy. We will continue to engage closely and coordinate efforts towards the early restoration of peace and stability in the region," PM Modi said in a post on X.
External affairs minister S Jaishankar also spoke to his Saudi Arabia and Oman counterparts.
