Melodic Marvel: 'Aavaahan' takes center stage at Kartavya Path during 75th Republic Day celebrations

Kartavya Path reverberated with the enchanting notes of "Aavaahan," marking a historic musical journey as it assumed the spotlight at the forefront of the Republic Day grand parade.

This unprecedented performance filled the air with the divine sounds of a magnificent symphony, featuring an array of Indian musical instruments carefully sourced from diverse regions of the country.

The distinguished ensemble, comprised of 112 talented women artists, showcased their skillful prowess in playing a diverse range of folk and tribal percussion instruments, becoming a poignant symbol of women's strength and mastery.



Within the captivating soundscape, 20 artists skillfully presented the rhythmic beats of Maharashtra's Dhol and Tasha, while 16 artists brought to life the traditional Dappu of Telangana.

The ensemble further embraced the cultural richness with 16 artists skillfully playing Dhak and Dhol from West Bengal, accompanied by an additional eight artists blowing conch shells, enhancing the auditory experience.

Amidst the grandeur, 10 artists expertly wielded the Chenda, a traditional drum from Kerala, while 30 artists showcased the energetic Dholu Kunitha of Karnataka.

The musical extravaganza reached its zenith as four artists each handled Nadaswaram, Tutari, and Cymbals, creating a spectacular display of the diverse hues of Indian culture on Kartavya Path.
