Mann Ki Baat: PM Modi says November brought many inspirations; mentions Hyderabad's MRO facility
NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his monthly radio pogramme Mann Ki Baat, on Sunday said the month of November has "brought a lot of aspirations" and recalled the major events of which the nation witnessed in the 11th month of the 2025.
"The month of November has brought a lot of aspirations. A few days ago, on 26th November, a special event was organised in the Central Hall of the Parliament on the occassion of Constitution Day. A grand series of nationwide events commenced on the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram. On 25 November, Dharma Dhwaja was hoisted at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. On the same day, Panchjanya Memorial was inaugurated in Kurukshetra's Jyotisar," said PM Modi during his monthly radio programme.
Speaking about India's youth, PM Modi said: "India has taken a major step in maintenance, repair, and overhaul in the aviation sector. Last week, INS Mahe was inducted into the Indian Navy in Mumbai. Last week, India's space ecosystem got a new boost with Skyroot's Infinity Campus. All this has become a reflection of Bharat's new ideas, innovation, and youth power."
Addressing the nation during the 128th episode of the Mann Ki Baat, PM Modi lauded a team of young people from Pune, who attempted to fly drones in Mars-like conditions.
He said, "A few days ago, a video on social media caught my attention. It was about a unique drone competition organised by ISRO. In this video, our country's youth, especially our Gen-Z, were attempting to fly drones in Martian-like conditions. In this competition, a team of young people from Pune achieved some success. Their drone even fell and crashed several times, but they did not give up. After several attempts, this team's drone managed to fly for some time in the conditions of Mars."
He added that the video reminded him of the setback when Chandrayaan went out of network coverage. Further, the Prime Minister added that the setback was followed by the success of Chandrayaan-3.
"This video reminded me of the day Chandrayaan went out of network coverage. That day, the entire country, especially the scientists, was demoralised. But this setback did not deter them. On that very day, they started writing the success story of Chandrayaan-3. The determination of our youth is the greatest strength of Viksit Bharat," he said.
In 2019, ISRO lost communication with the Vikram lander during the Chandrayaan-2 mission.Meanwhile, PM Modi termed the inauguration of Skyroot's Infinity Campus a "new boost" to India's space ecosystem.
Mann Ki Baat has served as one of the Prime Minister’s key platforms for connecting with citizens both within India and abroad. PM Modi shares his thoughts on a range of national issues, highlights grassroots initiatives, and encourages public participation in developmental and social campaigns, an approach that has become a hallmark of the programme.
The previous episode, aired on October 26, marked the 127th edition of the broadcast. During that address, the Prime Minister extended greetings on the occasion of Chhath Parv and applauded young creators contributing to the revival of Sanskrit. He also celebrated India’s coffee sector gaining greater global recognition.
Touching upon public welfare efforts, PM Modi had spoken about the ‘GST Bachat Utsav’, noting the widespread enthusiasm it generated.
He highlighted several citizen-driven initiatives promoting cleanliness and sustainability, including the ‘Garbage Café’ in Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh, where meals are offered in exchange for plastic waste, as well as a Bengaluru campaign led by engineer Kapil Sharma to rejuvenate the city’s lakes.
The Prime Minister also praised the Border Security Force (BSF) and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) for increasing the presence of Indian-breed dogs in their units, underscoring the country’s growing emphasis on indigenous capabilities.
Over the years, Mann Ki Baat has evolved into a significant platform for showcasing inspiring grassroots efforts and promoting civic engagement.
Since its launch in October 2014, the programme has played a notable role in raising awareness on issues such as cleanliness, environmental conservation, digital literacy, and women’s empowerment, often catalysing widespread participation and people-driven movements.
